Using Search Engines to Detect Plagiarism
You can use a search engine to detect whether something has been plagiarized. In www.google.com and www.altavista.com go to Advanced Search, Phrase Search and type in the sentence or phrase that seems suspicious. The search engine will search for the phrase.
In Yahoo.com type "Paper Databases" for a list of more research paper sites.
HowOriginal.com A free service for teachers to check the originality of suspicious text.
